I.— Adj. (Temple) prostyle. Temple présentant quatre colonnes formant vestibule sur sa façade antérieure. Lorsqu'un portique de 4 colonnes est ajouté à cet édifice, on a le temple prostyle (RACHET Archéol. 1983, p. 911).
II.— Subst. masc. Portique, vestibule formé de quatre colonnes devant un temple prostyle. (Dict. XIXe et XXe s.).
